The area around Old Manali is famous for trekking and its breathtaking
scenery. There are many places to do day walks in the locality;
such as the winter ski resort of Solang Valley, the high waterfall
on the cliffs above Vashsist or up to the hills above old Manali.
Trekking spot in Himachal Pradesh
The village makes an ideal starting point for short 2 or 3 day
treks such as those to Beas Kund and Brighu lake. Manali also acts
as a jump off point for longer treks in Lahaul, Spiti, Zanskar and
Ladakh.
